Medium Tractor Products currently has an opening for an Engineering Manager located in Washington, IL, leading the Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) team. This team has responsibility for multiple facets of product quality for the tractor products portfolio which includes the D4-D8 Track Type Tractors, PL83-PL87 Pipelayers, and 953-973 Track Type Loaders. This includes Continuous Product Improvement team leadership and As-Delivered Quality performance to our external customers. It requires a driven, relational, and action-oriented person to serve our customers and dealers across our full machine offering in each of their respective applications across their global markets. This leader will routinely engage senior leaders across internal, customer and dealer organizations to communicate project status and collect voice of customer/dealer to drive action within our engineering teams.

The successful candidate will be one who has demonstrated building and leading a team grounded in data driven decision making, has shown the ability to collaborate inside and outside the organization, and possesses a minimum basic knowledge of machines and machine development.

What You Will Do:

  • Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) team and process ownership.
  • Engage customers, dealers, suppliers, team members, and other business units in assessing and communicating project results across all levels of personnel.
  • Collaborate with service engineering and customer facing teams to solicit and gage customer feedback on product quality concerns.
  • Manage annual engineering and warranty budgets.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
  • Degree: bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience
  • Effective Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization including senior leaders, facilitating seamless collaboration and alignment.
  • Technical Excellence: Extensive experience showcasing progressive responsibilities, including direct involvement in product development or product support, highlighting expertise in driving strategic initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Exceptional decision-making abilities and critical thinking skills, enabling sound judgement in the ability to understand the bigger picture to drive teams to key timeline/milestone decisions.
Top Candidates Will Have :
  • Direct supervisory experience.
  • Dealer and/or customer facing experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt - CPI and/or DMAIC.
  • Experience with quality systems.
Additional Info :
  • 10-20% domestic and international travel is expected for this role.
  • Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.
