Lamp Rynearson, Inc., an engineering, land planning, and land surveying firm with a solid reputation for its recognized clients, projects, and people, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Summer Engineering Intern in its Fort Collins' office.

Qualifications include... • Current engineering student at an accredited college or university; • Ability to work with a team of unique personalities and professional styles; • Ability to perform self-motivated work, as well as, collaborate and contribute to a team; • Strong verbal and written communication skills; • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; and• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities include the following:• Assists in the analysis and revisions of reports (i.e. geotechnical, drainage, soils, traffic), maps, drawings, tests, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project.• Assists and offer insights in design computations, quantity and cost estimates for platting, grading, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, paving, and other improvements, advertising documents.• Assists and offer insights in the preparation or modification of reports, design specifications, plans, permits and designs for project.• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents for a variety of projects.• Assists in observation and supervision of field reports, concrete testing, soil testing, pavement construction, sewer construction, grading, and other tasks involved in the completion of projects.• Communicate with team members, outside consultants, contractors and others through phone calls, site visits, emails, and other documents.• Conduct project research as necessary to initiate/complete projects.• Opportunity to build connections with the people of Fort Collins through multiple forms of community involvement (i.e. donation / volunteer opportunities)
