Detailed Position Information
The Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies at the University of Alabama invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology. The Department focuses on the training of educational leaders in different fields and houses programs in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, and Social and Cultural Foundations. The Instructional Technology program offers a master's degree, a Ph.D., a graduate certificate program, and undergraduate service technology courses. A successful candidate will join 5 active research and teaching faculty, as well as a vibrant student community in the Instructional Technology program.

This is a nine-month, non-tenure-earning position with a contract of one year.

Job Responsibilities:
Teach graduate courses in the Instructional Technology content area.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

· Earned Doctorate in Instructional Technology or related field.

· Ability to teach graduate courses in the Instructional Technology program.

· Evidence of teaching excellence.

· Evidence of service within university settings and relevant professional organizations.

· Experience advising and mentoring graduate students.

· Ability to support program administration and coordination.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with coordinating successful internship programs is desired. · Experience in creating opportunities for IT student professional development.
