Research & Diagnostic environment

The Document Control Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the management of company documents while ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity. This position is integral to maintaining compliance with record retention policies, safeguarding sensitive information, and facilitating efficient data retrieval processes.

As a Document Control Assistant, you will:

  • Review various documents, including batch records, drawings, procedures, work instructions, and forms, to ensure compliance with document and SOP policies.
  • Coordinate Document Control activities, including tracking, releasing, distributing, and auditing controlled documents.
  • Facilitate the approval process for Change Orders, including the distribution and archiving of final documents in both hard copy and electronic formats.
  • Verify the completeness of documentation for accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform data entry for preliminary non-conforming reports.
  • Scan and input completed drawings, inspection reports, document logs, procedures, and batch records into the document control system.
  • Collaborate with document originators or management personnel to resolve discrepancies on batch records and documents.
  • Maintain compliance activities related to the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that only the latest revisions of batch records, drawings, documents, work instructions, and procedures are released within the document control system.
  • Remove obsolete revisions from circulation prior to release.
  • Manage control of all production release batch records and drawings from initial release through product completion.
  • Manage employee ID's.
  • Adhere to SOPs, policies, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Provide support for Quality Systems and Regulatory departments during internal and external audits and actively participate in departmental activities.
  • Support the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program as needed.

This is a full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience within document control
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Programs
  • Familiar with document creation techniques

Pay Rate: $20.50 an hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
