Location/Division Specific Information

Florence, SC

Hours: 6am - 6:30pm (2-2-3 schedule)

Summary: Responsible for executing and maintaining key documentation functions within Thermo Fisher Scientific Quality Systems. Assist Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Specialists with maintaining the Quality System procedures and records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Primary responsibility is the preparation of the site for implementation of electronic document management system (eDMS) Documentum. Responsibilities include:

  • Organization of controlled documents for Documentum migration.
  • Obsolete/archive documents no longer needed through established procedures.
  • Assist with training before and after system roll-out.
  • Perform post-implementation maintenance on the system.
After the roll-out of Documentum, the secondary responsibility is to assist with inventory, organization, and purging of documents stored remotely. This will include recalling document boxes, inventorying their contents, and contacting clients when possible to determine if retention is required.

Employee may be asked during this time to assist with various QA responsibilities as needed including controlled document issuance, maintenance of QA trackers and metrics, and reporting out to upper management, other site departments, or corporate quality.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
