We are seeking a Director, Strategy & Planning to join the Content Strategy & Acquisitions (CS&A) team at Meta. Reporting to the Vice President of CS&A, this leader will develop and oversee the strategic direction for our investments in content. In service of this goal, they will drive outcomes and collaborate with a range of stakeholders in product, partnerships, marketing, legal, finance, engineering, and other areas, with an eye to integrating the priorities of these groups, and uniting the team under a common approach. They will be an accelerant to complex cross-pillar and cross-app projects, bringing together the right stakeholders, developing frameworks, aligning on tradeoffs, and advancing key initiatives.The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in digital content strategy and content acquisition at a tech and/or media company. They will have experience with strategic planning, negotiations, analysis, and a highly-attuned product sense. In addition, they will bring a proven track record of analyzing and synthesizing complicated and ambiguous information, solving complex problems, providing visionary leadership in digital value creation, and working persuasively among leaders and matrixed organizations.This role will be an independent contributor with an impactful remit within the CS&A organization. We are looking for someone who will transcend reporting lines, and shift seamlessly between managing day-to-day projects and providing strategic counsel at an executive level, and across a range of functions.

<ul><li>Develop a long-term content investment strategy spanning a range of partner verticals, including Creators, Media, News, Gaming, and Music</li><li>Develop a framework for integrating priorities from product & partnerships teams across Meta's apps and platforms, generating alignment on investments and trade-offs</li><li>Develop the overall content acquisition budget allocation, in partnership with product, partnerships, finance, and other cross-functional teams</li><li>Organize Meta's cross-functional forums for navigating key decisions related to content investments</li><li>Analyze markets and synthesize recommendations into actionable plans</li></ul>

<ul><li>15+ years experience in digital content strategy, content acquisitions, or a related discipline at a media and/or tech company</li><li>Subject matter expertise in media, music, and content acquisition</li><li>Knowledge of digital business models and internet/consumer technology</li><li>Experience managing multiple tasks under timelines, and experience executing across a quickly evolving products</li><li>Demonstrated fluency in the most complex business and legal issues in partner relations</li><li>Skill in communication & consensus-building</li><li>Experience building presentations in PowerPoint and compiling briefing materials</li><li>BS or BA</li></ul>

<ul><li>Experience navigating external negotiations</li><li>Experience operating at a senior level as an independent contributor</li><li>Facility for identifying key strategic concerns and generating consensus among internal stakeholders</li><li>Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with the experience learning quickly about new technologies</li><li>Experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment</li><li>MBA or JD</li></ul>
