JOB SUMMARY:

  • Perform daily duties of data stewardship and master data processing at Cat Financial. Responsibilities will include data governance, master data management, data stewardship, data design, data modelling, data quality, and metadata management.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Member of a high performing data governance team managing daily processes for data stewardship, master data, and projects related to developing business and technical data solutions.
  • Competent in data governance, master data management, data modelling & design, , data quality, metadata management, data governance and data architecture.
  • Accountable for daily master data processes, metrics, KPI's, and data quality.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to the business and relevant stakeholders for master data related needs, process changes, design, and accountability.
  • Carefully evaluate problems and provide input into many possible solutions to drive an environment of continuous improvement. Follows general policies and guidelines for projects within span of control to ensure specific goals are met, and desired results are achieved.
  • Impact key quality goals including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, reoccurring revenue, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, process quality, etc.
  • Responsible for meeting data related quality and process KPI's/metrics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrated expertise in data stewardship and master data related processes and/or projects.
  • Ability to cope with shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem- solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end data stewardship and master data related processes.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modelling, and data architecture concepts.
  • Experience in master data management within a large corporation preferably high tech or technology manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data and Cloud (AWS, DataLakes, and similar).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where digital is still evolving as a core offering.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • A 4-year college or university degree and a minimum of 5 years exempt experience in data management (data design, data quality, metadata, governance, etc.).
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience data stewardship and/or master data management projects and processing.
  • 6 Sigma background is preferred but not essential.
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
