Data Scientist If you are a Data Scientist with experience, please read on! An auto insurance company based in Torrance is looking for a Data Scientist. If you have experience in Machine Learning and NLP, and is looking for a challenging role with a rapidly growing insurtech company, this role is for you.
What You Will Be Doing You will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and implementing methods, processes, data architecture and systems to analyze diverse and high volumes of complex data retrieved from automobiles. You will be utilizing machine learning, risk modeling, natural language processing and deep learning for insurance use cases.
What You Need for this Position Must have:
- At least 3 years of experience as a data scientist
- Experience in ML, NLP, and DL
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative or technical field such as mathematics, economics, computer science, or engineering
- Proficient in SQL and database management
- Working knowledge of systems and programming languages such as Linux, Java, AWS, AWS IoT Core, Kinesis, Kafka, SQL, Python, and RDBMS

Nice to have:
- MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other related field
- Experience with automotive telematics or connected car
- Experience in insurance or insurtech industry
- AWS IoT Core knowledge
- Actuarial background
