Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team and support the engineering, installation, and commissioning of automated finishing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controls systems, PLC programming, and a passion for delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop control systems for automated finishing equipment.
  • Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of control systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Provide technical support during equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide customized solutions.
  • Develop documentation, including manuals and training materials, to support the operation and maintenance of control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in control systems technology.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience in controls engineering, preferably in the manufacturing or automation industry.
    • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI development.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning activities (approximately 25% travel required).
    • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to automated machinery (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
