Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Regional Controller. This is a Nucor Department Manager level position reporting directly to the General Manager. As a member of the Management team the Regional Controller leads a team of diverse finance/accounting, credit, purchasing, HR, IT and purchasing professionals.

The role of the Controller includes but is not limited to:
1. Leadership role in safety, cultural alignment and managing the accounting and related financial reporting, Credit and Human Resources functions within the Region.
2. Leadership in protecting Nucor's assets through risk management activities, maintaining internal controls, and various contract negotiations. Set vision and lead the team through contract review and negotiations to manage risk.
3. Providing general financial experience and leadership to critically analyze business situations and help formulate vision and strategies. Act as key business partner to his or her peers and their departments in order to facilitate continuous improvement across the division.
4. Lead as a key business partner to the commercial and operations teams and help facilitate continuous financial improvement across the division and rebar fabrication group.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields
2. 3 years leadership experience

Problem Solving & Judgment/Decision Making - Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options in order to choose the most appropriate solution.
Coaching and Developing Others -Identifying the strengths and developmental needs of others to include coaching, mentoring, teaching, training, or otherwise helping others to improve their skills to work effectively.
Developing and Building Teams- Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members as well as effectively managing and resolving conflicts as needed.

PREFERENCES:
1. MBA, CPA or CMA
2. Prior leadership and supervisory experience
3. Proficiency in human resources, contracts, credit, and financial reporting.
