RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Controller in South Haven, Michigan (MI).Summary:The client is a well-established privately held manufacturer in the South Haven area and is looking to add a controller. The position is open due to an impending retirement and the position reports to the President. This position will have very good work/life balance.Responsibilities include:- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Payroll, Inventory Accounting and Revenue/Expense Recognition
- Create annual cost models to assist in the valuation of inventory monthly
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements with presentation to the Board of Directors as needed
- Review and understand impacts of sales, disbursement, and collections on cash flow
- Create a good working relationship with bank representatives, outside audit and tax firm, and insurance agency to assist in the evaluation of risk levels and implications
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, preferably coming out of a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
