RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (Production Finance) in Culver City, CA.Responsibilities:
  • Business Systems Analyst will support initiatives as part of the overall strategy and roadmap of technology solutions used to enable deal negotiations and affiliated processes for the company
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment on process definition, requirements, solution design, and priorities for technology projects
  • Use stakeholder feedback, industry best practices, and other data points available to inform direction on new and optimize existing solutions
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing input into the future design and evolution of technology solutions to ensure they keep pace with evolving business needs
  • Plan, coordinate, and track deliverables across several, concurrent projects
  • Manage communication with project stakeholders, business partners, and leadership to ensure common expectations
  • Manage the delivery of new systems and extensions of existing systems
  • As a Business Systems Analyst, you will coordinate the efforts of production partners, vendors, contractors, team members, and shared service groups
  • Engage with support functions such as Legal, Business Affairs, Procurement, Vendor Management, New Product Security, and Information Security to on-board new vendors and/or systems
  • Maintain close relationships with the company finance teams
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of trends and best practices within the company


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Functional lead of a custom development application utilized by the various Finance Departments, with focus on Production Accounting and related processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of deal negotiations and affiliated processes and their relationship to technology in a studio environment
  • Familiarity with financial planning, accounting, and reporting practices as it pertains to licensed and original content development in a studio environment
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining systems to enable development, business affairs, and finance workflows in a studio environment
  • Experience in accounting and payroll software used by 3rd party production payroll/accounting service provider (SmartAccounting, SmartPO, Movie Magic Budgeting, PSL)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the content creation pipeline and financial impacts of all relevant processes and their relationship to technology in a studio environment, content cost reporting requirements, tax compliance & internal controls required by Business Assurance and Compliance group
  • Experience managing small, medium, and large-scale technology projects to successful delivery
  • Adept at leading discussions, articulating complex concepts, & resolving conflict with all levels of teams, exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills, experience with coordination and communication across disparate groups of individuals, including production partners, thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities, experience establishing milestones and meeting commitments on deadlines
  • PSL/Smart Accounting or similar accounting systems a plus
  • SAP/HANA a plus
  • PMP or other project management certification a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
