Zurich is currently seeking an Auto Litigation Claims Specialist II. At Zurich North America Claims, we understand the importance of work-life balance and flexibility in your career choice. The selected candidate should be able to report to one of our major claims hub offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Parsippany, Omaha, Overland Park, Schaumburg, Rancho Cordova, or Woodland Hills.

Job Responsibilities:

Under moderate direction, the Auto Litigation Claims Specialist II handles single and multi-party personal or commercial line claims of low to moderate exposure and complexity within specific limits of authority. This role follows established protocols to ensure efficient and effective claims handling, delivering customer-centric claims service.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  • OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree, and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  • OR Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  • OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  • Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in auto litigated claims
  • Experience handling bodily injury and litigated claims
  • Experience with uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment and building cross-functional working relationships
  • Proficiency in identifying and explaining complex financial and/or actuarial concepts
  • Ability to determine the scope and exposure for moderately complex claims
  • Understanding of the reserving process for indemnity and expense in analyzing the potential exposure of moderately complex claims
  • Ability to develop and execute a negotiation strategy and plan for resolution
  • Skill in identifying subtleties in customer/client and/or business partner interactions

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $57,500.00 - $94,300.00.
