Role Overview

As Assistant Manager, Pharmacy you will be leading, supporting, and coaching a team of technicians

that are providing pharmacy expertise to other Accolade teams engaging with members on their healthcare journey. You will develop and grow your team, help them meet their performance objectives, and complete other duties as assigned. The Assistant Manager, Pharmacy is a hands-on leader with a passion for service excellence and possess a blend of skills:

A day in the life...
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for team of Pharmacy Technicians on a growing team.
  • Understand Pharmacy Technician roles and hold team members accountable for process execution.
  • Develop ways to shape member's pharmaceutical care for better outcomes.
  • Train team members and onboard new hires to develop a high functioning technician team.
  • Identifies and implements best practices that meet quality/process improvement standards
  • Consistently assesses, recommends, and participates in quality and process improvement initiatives within the team to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Assists with development of pharmacy policies and procedures as well as business and operations plans.
  • Work with pharmacy leadership to execute special projects to refine team performance.
  • Participate in other clinical pharmacy asks as required.
  • Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist as needed.

What we are looking for...
  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PBM or retail pharmacy setting, or completion of a residency.
  • Demonstrate competency of Pharmacist (L1), Clinical Pharmacy Care Team or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of health care industry business operations.
  • Demonstrated drug information database research and evaluation experience.
  • Comfortable with various computer programs at the user level.
  • Able to communicate to varied audiences in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex pharmacy/prescription related information in "plain English".
  • Ability to build consensus and to work through others in achieving desired results and objectives.
  • Team player capable of working effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving atmosphere and eagerness to participate in the progression of the field of pharmacy.
  • Specialty certifications are preferred but not required.
