Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University invites applicants for an Assistant Director of Research. This position will be critical in pursuing the Drake Institute's vision to promote teaching excellence to advance the educational mission of the university and enhance student learning. The Assistant Director will provide key leadership in efforts, programs, and services related to educational development research, discipline-based education research, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
The Assistant Director of Research will provide leadership and support in developing and implementing research efforts designed to contribute to an expanding educational development knowledge base, while also developing and advancing research-related collaborations with university partners. The Assistant Director will lead and manage programs and university-wide initiatives related to the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and discipline-based education research (DBER) and will provide both individual and unit-level consultative services in response to needs and questions that emerge from teaching-related research efforts across the university.
