Position Summary:

Position Summary: The Assistant Director of CEWD Operations provides oversight and management of systems and processes that establish and record CEWD courses, classes, and registrations. This position serves as the CEWD subject matter expert for the Lumens registration system and other technology critical to CEWD operations and ensures both Lumens and PeopleSoft systems operate in a seamless fashion through technical and manual processes. This position oversees and manages data entry of courses and classes into College systems for compliance and accuracy as well as registrations for select programs. The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the timely submittal of reports as required by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) and other reporting needs as determined by the Associate Vice President. The Assistant Director of CEWD Operations has the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the functions essential to performing this job:

1. Oversees staff, processes, and workflows to maintain complete and accurate records to support college policies, as well as State and Federal regulations.2. Serve as the CEWD liaison to technical staff, the Bursar, CEWD registration staff, CEWD staff, and vendors on system applications.3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues between Lumens, the Lumens Middleware Cloud, and PeopleSoft.4. Provide leadership to implement innovations in Lumens and other related technology to enhance systems to achieve student success and process efficiencies.5. Oversee set-up and maintenance of non-credit data structure in Lumens and in PeopleSoft to include sessions, terms, dynamic dating, and other data elements, as required.6. Troubleshoot and resolve schedule setup issues, and review schedule entry for accuracy.7. Manage and supervise data entry of registrations for select CEWD programs to ensure quality and timeliness of process.8. Maintain accurate CEWD course inventory in both PeopleSoft and Lumens systems ensuring appropriate MHEC required coding.9. Prepare and review data for accuracy and completeness in preparation of reports that are submitted by the College for state reporting.10. Establish standards and train CEWD staff in the processes of course, class, and grade entry.11. Oversee data entry, accuracy, and the submission of all required CC-10 documents and reports.12. Maintain knowledge of MHEC, and other regulatory agencies in order to interpret and apply to CEWD procedures to ensure College compliance.13. Provide leadership and oversight for strategic initiatives involving CEWD Operations.14. Participate as an active member of the CEWD management team to implement the College's shared vision and strategic plan.15. Supervise CEWD Operations personnel.16. Serve as College liaison by attending scheduled meetings of the Maryland Community Colleges Operations Affinity Group.17. Attend conferences and attend committees both internal and external to the CollegePerform other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of database management experience OR Associates degree with six (6) or more years of data base management experience2. Three (3) years of supervisory experience

1. Master's Degree2. Project management experience3. Experience implementing technological strategies to ensure data integrity in distributed entry systems4. Experience assessing business processes for efficiency and accuracy5. Experience interpreting and following mandated regulations
