Summary:
The Food and Nutrition Program at Bowling Green State University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Food and Nutrition. This is a 9-month tenure track position in the bargaining unit. Applicants must have expertise in food science, nutrition science, or a related field.
Essential Functions:
Teach food science, nutrition science, and/or metabolism courses in the undergraduate Dietetics and Nutrition Sciences degree programs, as well as the Master of Food and Nutrition and Dietetic Internship programs. Establish a record of high-quality research/instruction, obtain grants/awards, publish manuscripts, participate on academic committees, advise students, supervise graduate students, and provide professional service through community engagement and professional societies.
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned academic doctorate in food science, nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related field; advanced ABD candidates will be considered but must complete the degree by the end of the first year of employment. A demonstrated record of scholarship, as evidenced by peer reviewed publications, technical reports, and/or grants. RD/RDN is preferred but not required. The preferred candidates will have expertise in food science, nutrition science, or nutrition metabolism. Online teaching experience is preferred.
