Job Description Summary

This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a wide variety of accounting and office support functions including but not limited to:

• Provide Support to Accounting department.
• Process check requests as needed.
• Follow up on vendor issues and clear statements.
• Post hourly ticket payments weekly.
• Review and/or reconcile hauler statements weekly.
• Code incoming service invoices and route for approval.
• Fact check invoice, resolve discrepancies.
• Collection phone calls and e-mails as needed.
• Assist with filing NTO's and tracking lien dates.
• Create Notices of Nonpayment.
• Reviewing customer release of liens for signature.
• Create and update job spreadsheets.
• Create new job subcontractor entry in accounting software.
• Enter subcontractor change orders into accounting software.
• Prepare subcontractor lien releases and release subcontractor payments.
• Request and process W9 forms for new vendors.
• Scan, file and log accounting documents.
• Assist with audits.
• Other duties as needed.

Experience/Educational Requirements:

• Associates of Science degree in related field and/or 5+ years of experience in accounting function.
• Proficiency with computers and accounting software.
• Exceptional time management, verbal, and written skills.
• Professional manner and strong ethical code.
• Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
• Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.

Physical Requirements

• This position is a largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers.
• To avoid injuries to hands, back and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation.
• There are occasional visits to the storage area in which case safety rules must be followed.
