Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Texas is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (1) Assisting with the month end close procedures (2) Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (3) Preparing, reviewing and submitting financial reporting to divisions and Corporate (4) Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision making (5) Maintaining and continuously improving the internal control structure. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA, CMA, Master's degree in Accounting or Business
- Manufacturing Accounting experience
- Oracle EBS experience
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly PowerBI
- Proven ability to create insightful financial reports and dashboards
- Willing to relocate for future job opportunities within Nucor
