Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Welds all junction type probes, both manually and automated.
  • Capable of supporting inventory levels in cell with knowledge of component supply and replenishment system.
  • Capable of training next level with required skill sets and job processes.
  • Performs visual inspection of product.
  • Assembles per available work instructions, drawings, and/or BOMS.
  • Performs routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Supports completion of required paperwork such as Scrap transactions, populating First Pass Yield, and Cycle Counts and other business needs as required by Supervisor.
  • Confers with supervision, area leaders, maintenance, or others to resolve welding or assembly issues.
  • Maintains acceptable levels of production/behavior according to established standards and company policy.
  • Practices good housekeeping and safety procedures and adheres to all company policies.
  • Ability to support Lean Daily Management activities such as Day-By-The Hour Board, cell level KPI, and Value Stream Board and other operational excellence activities.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate business needs with team and colleagues at the cell level.
  • Support the proper sequencing and scheduling of daily job orders for the cell.

Experience/Skills Required:
  • Ability to interpret part numbers, sketches, and written/verbal instructions with limited supervision.
  • Ability to verify parts using quality measuring devices.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to perform initial quality inspection of work.
  • Ability to stand for short periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lean and reach.
  • Ability to operate basic assembly and or welding equipment.
  • Must be a good team player and have the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
