Job Purpose / Objective

Responsible for the design, testing, implementation and administration of interactive technologies and applications, including but not limited to websites and operating system. Works to develop and support a user-friendly interface.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Consult with users to determine system specifications.
  • Design, create, produce, implement and maintain company web site based on user design specifications.
  • Ensure system integrity by utilizing proper architectural designs.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Operating System.
  • Ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
  • Responsible for developing, managing and supporting system level architecture.
  • Test, debug and maintain the service architecture throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Oversees application coding and provides technical expertise.
  • Work with marketing and development staff on style and approach for web site projects.
  • Provide design elements, comps, templates, and finished solutions.
  • Write, analyze, debug, and deliver clean, validated, maintainable code.
  • Participate in efforts to improve quality of the web site as required.
  • Responsible for managing system performance and recommending enhancement to improve the site.
  • Address concerns or problems with usage on the web site.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • 4 years of directly related experience.
  • Understand object-oriented concepts, design patterns, and various open-source toolkits and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of various programming languages to develop websites and network systems, maintaining databases, developing new user interfaces and designing and debugging website.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing while working remotely.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Daily operated a computer keyboard and mouse.
  • May be subject to sitting for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks (Laravel),
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PHP 7+, MySQL Database, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue, continuous delivery workflows (Jenkins, GitHub), MVC frameworks (Zend) nodjs npm webpack, Git/Guthub, PHPUnit and Laravel Dusk.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and OAuth systems, Shipping Carrier APIs (UPS)
