SAIC is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to perform material and warehouse management services for our Tactical Networks (TACNET) Technical and Production Support Program in Norfolk, VA.
The successful candidate will support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) TACNET Deployment Integrated Product Team (IPT) in both sustainment and modernization of the United States Navy (USN) Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) systems.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage material using Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO) tools from point of equipment origin to delivery to installation activity or shipyard
- Monitor, correct, and report material record discrepancies
- Reconcile receiving, shipping, and warehouse inventory reports
- Document, track, and report daily deliveries, shipments, and internal material movements
- Collaborate with warehouse/lab staff to ensure timely, efficient packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) of material
- Audit inventory and material handling processes
Qualifications
Required:
- US citizenship and Active SECRET Clearance
- High School Degree or GED
- Two (2) year of warehouse experience, to include: performing inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material; and utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar coding system for entry, identification and tracking of material
- Experienced/certified fork lift operator
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in customer service
- Strong initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in high-paced, dynamic work environment and manage shifting priorities
- Experience with Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Desired:
- Experience with CMPRO
- Experience with TACNET Program of Record (POR) Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES)
- Experience handling, packaging, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials
