The VP, Shared Services will be responsible for overseeing the Company's global shared services function, including Credit and Collections, Procurement and Vendor Management, and Treasury

You'll need at least ten years of Finance or Shared Services experience and welcome the opportunity to make an impact from day one.The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000.

We have expanded into Canada, Australia and Europe (Sweden and Germany) so multi-national experience, or the interest to gain that experience, is highly preferred.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the Shared Service team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Oversees the Company's global shared services function, including Credit and Collections, Procurement and Vendor Management, and Treasury
  • Drives the development and management of best practices within the shared services function, to ensure efficiency, standardization, accuracy, and compliance with Company policies and practices.
  • Acts as a lead for process improvement and optimization initiatives across the department, including processes, systems and organizational structure.
  • Anticipates and ensures the development and maintenance of scalable Shared Services capabilities (processes, systems, policies/procedures, organization and compliance) to support the Company's growth.
  • Maintains KPIs and dashboards for all key Shared Services functions.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of the control infrastructure across Shared Services, including data gathering and issue management.
  • Collaborates with Corporate and Operational management to develop cross-functional processes and structures that improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures that the department is hyper-responsive to business needs and addresses the root causes of issues that arise
  • Assists with completing pre-acquisition diligence and acquisition integration support tasks including, but not limited to, diligence on Shared Services functions, mapping and transitioning business processes to current functionality, overseeing data migration, training, etc.
  • Optimizes preferred vendor relationships, and drives procurement improvements
  • Oversees the training, mentoring and development or direct and/or indirect reports.
  • Manages the group and addresses employee performance and expectations as well as any employee concerns, and escalate as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of Finance or Shared Services experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
  • 7+ years of experience in a management or leadership role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with documenting business processes and identifying, and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with change management, program management and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel), Google, and/or PC programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with various financial systems
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Solid organization and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Familiarity with automated Shared Services solutions
  • Large Company experience ($500 million plus in revenue)
