We are currently seeking a Vice President, to lead the global Cormant DCIM team.

The position is 100% remote.

BGIS is a world leader in the management of data centers and other critical environments. BGIS Critical Environments has an extensive history of supporting critical infrastructure in Data Centers, Government, Financial Institutions, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, and Public Utilities. The Cormant group is part of the global BGIS Critical Environments division. Cormant has hundreds of customers worldwide using its industry leading DCIM and ITIM software solutions. Cormant-CS is supported by world-class consulting and support services. The Cormant-CS DCIM solution manages data center infrastructure for many of the global Fortune 500, Government Agencies, Militaries and Post-Secondary institutions.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a track record of successfully managing the operations of a software startup, including software development, or other fast-paced business. They will have strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

Candidates with a high level of savvy for Information Technology with specific experience in Datacenter Operations and familiarity with physical IT infrastructure will stand above the rest.

Purpose Statement

Lead the global BGIS Cormant division, including customer acquisition, customer relationship management, software development, technical services, customer helpdesk support, and group financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and lead a diverse high-performance team across multiple global locations and over various functions.
  • Lead the new customer acquisition process in conjunction with BGIS sales. Lead the process from initial demonstration, to quotation, proof-of-concept, to negotiation and close.
  • Ensure the Cormant team provides world-class pre- and post-sales support to guarantee customers maximize use of Cormant solutions.
  • Ensure customer business reviews are conducted to identify issues and future product development opportunities.
  • Lead a software development group that works to an agile development methodology. Participate in Scrums and sprint reviews, retrospectives and planning sessions.
  • Work with the product owner and analysts to set future product direction and ensure it is carried out.
  • Lead the separate QA/QC team to ensure the software product delivered to customers is of the highest possible standard.
  • Work with the global BGIS CE and facilities teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Identify and develop a software development budget to ensure appropriate capitalization of development activities.
  • Work autonomously while ensuring overall BGIS expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the BGIS COO.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, too big, or cannot be improved.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Fifteen or more years of experience with at least five in similar leadership roles.
  • Ten years' experience in complex, enterprise level, Information Technology Business to Business sales and contracts.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
  • International/Global sales experience.
