VCA Anderson Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
Our hospital has been treating dogs and cats in the Lakewood area since 1991! We are open M-F 7a-7p and Sat 8a-5p. We offer a flexible schedule for 4 10-hr shifts with a weekend rotation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in animal handling, assisting Certified Veterinary Technicians, or monitoring surgical patients.

Starting wage $16-$18 per hour depending on veterinary experience and skillset.
In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Maintaining medical records.
* Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
* Filling prescriptions.
* Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
* Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
