Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains highly professional standards and accountability to achieve/exceed departmental and individual objectives.
  • Serves as the liaison between wholesale distributor, pharmacies, market leaders, manufacturers, legal counsel, supply chain, HRSA/OPAIS, pharmacy leadership, and others as relates to the operation and management of 340B pharmacy business.
  • Serves as a 340B subject matter expert including registration, compliance, policies and procedures, and pharmacy operational issues.
  • Demonstrate expertise and understanding of end-to-end 340B pharmacy business processes.
  • Perform audits to ensure credit/memos and replenishment are compliant with all standards.
  • Assist in develop and oversee implementation of 340B contracting initiatives that will drive additional revenue for the company.
  • Proactively meet with third party administrators on a quarterly basis at minimum and seek out strategic opportunities.
  • Ensure 340B covered entities have an account development plan and plans are updated annually.
  • Meet with strategic 340B accounts on a quarterly basis at minimum. Partnering with the finance department, monitor performance of contracts and ensure KPI's are being met.
  • Internally meet on KPIs for strategic accounts with market managers and operations teams periodically.
  • Monitors trends and assists in the improvement of 340B pharmacy services by analyzing operating procedures and recommending cost-effective solutions and/or revenue enhancing opportunities.
  • Responsible for managing, reviewing, and troubleshooting 340B pharmacy issues.
  • Reviews and make recommendations on pharmacy contracting and other 340B opportunities and strategies while assessing impact from a financial, and operational perspective.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing current, past and new business opportunities for compliance and cost savings potential.
  • Leads the assessment & implementation of contract and 340B pharmacy opportunities which may include the implementation or revision of 340B contracts and 340B pharmacy programs.
  • Reviews current and prospective vendors for tools, technology, and design that will best service the compliance requirements of the 340B program.


Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners to meet business goals and objectives for Payer Relations Implementation (PRI) by
  • identifying and ranking priorities for all Payer Relations contracts
  • communicating and managing priorities of Payer Relations team with business partners (for example, Legal Priority Management Office (PMO), Innovations)
  • partnering with internal stakeholders (for example, Compliance, Legal, Real Estate) to evaluate adherence to standards and regulations in the development of contracts
  • engaging with and leveraging external agencies(for example, Medicare, Medicaid, NCPDP) throughout contract implementation.

Oversees corporate governance and compliance of contracts in Payer Relations Implementation (PRI) for Walmart Health and Wellness by
  • identifying and researching laws and corporate governance standards (for example, contract, tax, licensing)
  • overseeing development of processes and procedures of contracts to ensure compliance with laws and corporate governance standards
  • guiding and training Contracting Review team in conducting research and performing contract reviews to ensure compliance
  • ensuring contracts are in alignment with corporate and organizational goals and standards.

Oversees and develops processes to detect, mitigate, and manage risk in contracting review for Payer Relations Implementation (PRI) in Health and Wellness by
  • directing the development of processes to assess and mitigate emerging risk patterns
  • collaborating with Compliance department to identify, and assess risk factors
  • creating and conducting evaluations of current and future guidelines to assess short- and long-term change requirements
  • ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements that affect the execution of risk mitigation and management strategies
  • driving risk mitigation plans to completion.
