Treasury Accountant

Location: Atlanta, GA
Description: The successful candidate will act as one of the central points of contact for all Head Office locations including being partially responsible for all month-end accounting activities. They will also be responsible for Treasury and Banking activities. Located in Atlanta, GA, you will partner with stakeholders across the company including field finance leaders, Corporate Accounting and Finance Systems teams. This role will drive opportunities to streamline our monthly accounting processes and standards by assisting with the implementation of a shared services approach for processes utilizing the leading practice and SAP S/4 HANA Cloud based application, as well as streamline banking processes. The ideal candidate should have strong people and customer service skills, a track record of process improvement, exceptional accounting experience, and excellent teamwork skills along with an ability to work in an ever-changing environment.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Execute and support the workflow for all assigned accounting and treasury processes that streamlines and improves the financial close
• Assist in the monthly close activities for all Head Office entities
• Prepare assigned monthly journal entries
• Perform assigned general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare all operational, corporate, and ad-hoc reporting including analysis requests, schedules and quarterly, annual workpapers.
• Ensure all cash journal entries are prepared and bank statements are reconciled to G/L account balances
• Process domestic and international ACH and wire payments
• Process deposits and stop payments
• Process intercompany cash transfer payments
• Download daily bank transactions from the bank website and upload to SAP
• Download and save monthly e-statements for approximately 30 bank accounts
• Approve EPA rejections and maintain EPA safe list files
• Prepare cash forecasts as needed
• Serve as the backup to the Fixed Asset Accountant
• Other projects and assignments as necessary
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibility
• SAP systems experience strongly preferred
• Manufacturing background preferred
• Motivated individual who works well with others and thinks clearly under pressure
• Exceptional ability to problem-solve individually or in a group setting
• Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining organization and control
• Proven track record of process improvement Accounting knowledge and experience required
• Packaging & paper experience a plus Microsoft excel and PowerPoint skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• A proven team player
