Description
Location: 2200 North 33rd Street in Lincoln, Nebraska
This is a temporary assignment expected to last 11 months from start date.
Examples of Work
Assist with the collection of field, survey and other data associated with waterfowl and furbearer programs.
Technician will also analyze bat acoustic data and be responsible for data entry and analysis, and assisting with or be responsible for writing reports.
Completion of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: 15 semester hours or the equivalent of post high school coursework/training in fisheries management, natural resources and/or biology AND 12 months experience in wildlife, recreation or fisheries management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic knowledge of wildlife management and ecology principles. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as well as a working knowledge of data entry and use of personal computers.
Experience with MS Access, MS Excel, and program R is desired. Previous work experience with bat acoustic data, attention to detail, and great organization skills are also desired.
Applicants must be able to tolerate working odd hours as necessary while working in remote areas.
