BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Technical Support Engineer in Kansas - Durham, NC - Baltimore, MD

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of an Avaya Communications Solution including CS1K, Session Manager, System Manager, Avaya Messaging, Avaya Contact Center AACC/CCElite/CMS, Avaya Experience Portal.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for implementation, incident resolution, daily maintenance routines, patching and upgrades
  • Interacting with customer representatives to gather information and to provide status updates
  • Interacting with Tier 4 engineers for escalation.
  • Ticket updates
  • Process documentation

Who You Are

Candidate for this role must have:
  • 3+ years' experience supporting Avaya Aura solution components
  • Avaya System/Session Manager, CS1K, Communication Manager (CM), Avaya Contact Center (AACC/CCElite/CMS), SIP/DS3s/PRI, NetIQ, Avaya Experience Porta, Checkpoint Firewalls, and data switches
  • 5+ years experience in VoIP and SIP technologies
  • 3+ years experience with NetIQ monitoring solution
  • 3+ years experience with Operating systems, Linux and Windows
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as CAPRS and/or Remedy

Essential Requirements:
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree and/ or experience in a related field or Avaya certifications
  • Proficient in the use of desktop applications and collaboration tools
  • Knowledgeable on solution security, component certificates, single sign on, DHCP, AD
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Level 1 clearance
  • Prior experience working with government agencies
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Candidate must be local to Baltimore MD or Durham NC
