Compensation: $20.37 hourly
POSITION PURPOSE
Provide direct class supervision. Generate lesson plans for patients who have not received assignments from their home school. Write behavioral notations in individual patient’s chart at least once a week. Present as lead in education department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
• Demonstrate appropriate written and verbal communication skills
• Provide a positive/supportive learning environment for all patients
• Adjust assignments to commensurate with need and ability
• Encourage task completion and participation in class discussion
• Observe and chart patient's mood, attitude, and classroom productivity
• Report observations and school information to treatment team members
• Provide suggestions/interventions for the home school educators when issuing grades
• Provide current event lessons and participate in mandated observances
• Adhere to all confidentiality policies and procedures of the organization
• Remain current on organizational standards such as (but not limited to) CALM, CPR, and Relias learning
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in education required (preferably in Special Education)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must be state certified in Education
