Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for performing Human Resources marketing, hiring, and development for assigned business partners. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: salary recruitment, assist with hourly recruitment, salary onboarding, HRIS, and affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates the salary exempt staffing process to include building marketing materials, pre-screen interviews, and administering the job requisition process.
  • Facilitates the hourly staffing process by building marketing materials, requisitions, job postings, application review and setting up interviews at approximately 90 plants.
  • Coordinates career fair marketing, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Develops and coordinates efforts for on-campus marketing and recruiting efforts to include relationship building with campus career departments, professors and campus clubs.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Adhere to Company compensation programs; evaluates and updates job descriptions as necessary; and analyzes compensation through corporate compensation support.
  • Ensures compliance to personnel policies and procedures; employee change notice reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, and cash flow.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains company organization charts.
  • Provides relocation assistance with the assigned corporate and third party business partners.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

    This position does not have direct reports.

    Work Environment

    This job operates 90% of the time in an office setting. 10% of the time will be traveling. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.


    Occasional travel will be required. Out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected.

    Required Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree and one to three years' Human Resource experience, or five years' of related experience in Recruiting or Human Resources.

  • Preferred Education and Experience
  • A master's degree in human resource management and three years' experience in the Human Resources.

  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • PHR or (SHRM-CP) certification.
