Responsibilities
  • Proven record of ensuring that nothing is more important than SAFETY.
  • Serve as a role model; support and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and practices.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with teammates and customers.
  • Hands on leadership approach in working with teammates.
  • Assist manager in people development activities such as hiring, training, developing and coaching teammates.
  • Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures as needed.
  • Operate skid steer, forklift, loader as needed.
  • Supervise the operation of mobile and production equipment.
  • Conduct operational trouble shooting activities and minor repairs as needed.
  • 3rd Shift Schedule: 10:45 PM-7:15 AM Sunday-Thursday
  • Qualifications
  • Safety oriented.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field preferred, or a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in operations or manufacturing with heavy equipment; experience in scrap processing preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled and experienced with personal computers, software, spreadsheets and databases (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritize work; adapt to a changing environment; strong organized approach to work.
  • Familiarity with operating front end loaders, skid steers and forklifts preferred
  • Familiar with hand tools, some mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and adjustments
  • Ability to proactively fix the problem and/or implement a solution when Company resources are used or spent unwisely.
