The Sr. Manager of Corporate Development will play a critical role in leading the sourcing, screening, and execution of mergers & acquisitions at Lucid. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate team player who is a strong strategic and analytical thinker and excellent problem-solver, with a proven track record in investments and/or buy-side M&A. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Business Development, this role will oversee Corporate Development at Lucid and work closely alongside key cross-functional stakeholders and executives across BD/Strategy, Product, Legal, and Finance to establish M&A as a meaningful growth vector for Lucid.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the entire M&A cycle including sourcing, screening, underwriting, investment memo, and post-merger team formation and integration.
• Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, investors, and Board members to establish a world-class M&A strategy and roadmap.
• Deliver clear, balanced, and comprehensive analyses for each stage of merger and acquisition transactions for leadership, the Board, and any other key stakeholders.
• Perform sector screens, monitor industry trends, and attend key industry events to identify potential acquisition opportunities and maintain a robust pipeline.
• Build and nurture exceptional relationships with high growth, early stage tech companies across the business productivity and visual collaboration software landscape.
• Build deal models that illustrate scenarios of impact to Lucid's business, drivers of valuation, sources & uses of capital, and potential risks
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional due diligence teams internally and externally to support any deals as needed
• Track and summarize diligence issues, gather cross-functional input, and drive to resolution
• Liaise with Finance & Legal to coordinate drafting and negotiation of contracts
• Identify and surface compelling partnership and integration opportunities to BD & Product teams when M&A is not an immediate fit

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in corporate development, investment banking, M&A buy side, and/or other relevant consulting or finance roles
• Exceptional operational and valuation financial modeling experience
• Strong proficiency in deal analysis, negotiation and execution
• Experience sourcing net new deals and developing relationships with founders or sponsors to help differentiate yourself in a competitive process
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and become an expert on new domains of knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree from top-tier college or university
• Experience with SaaS companies and markets
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Strong relationship builder with both internal and external stakeholders
