Job Summary

Supports all aspect of the investor relations program including contributing to investor messaging, conducting investor focused analyses, developing a targeted investor strategy, and cultivating relationships with investors and security analysts. Works cross-functionally across the company to gain a strong fundamental understanding of the business ensuring the company is effectively communicating its strategic and financial positioning with the investor community.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Supports the creation and upkeep of investor relations materials related to the quarterly earnings call which include the earnings press release, executive scripts, Q&A, investor presentation, fact sheet, financial and legal back-up, post-event reporting, and transcript review
  • Analyzes sell-side analyst notes and identify key themes to highlight for senior management
  • Reviews analyst models and builds relationships with sell-side associates to understand how their models are built and their key underlying business and financial metric assumptions are determined
  • Prepares competitive performance analyses of peers and partners by reviewing their financial filings and tracks key financial and qualitative public disclosures for senior management
  • Performs valuation analysis on the company stock, peer groups, and the market to develop insight on overall and relative performance
  • Assists in the development and coordination of earrings calls, annual meetings, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and governance roadshows including preparing briefing materials and market intelligence requests
  • Partners with Finance and Accounting to perform analysis on key business initiatives and trends and advises on peer metrics
  • Collaborates with third-party service providers including those for web-hosting, surveillance IR consultants, and targeting
  • Maintains detailed notes of investors calls, summarizes highlights, and tracks interactions in order to continuously improve our investor communication and target strategy
  • Contributes to the process of evaluating and approving product, business, and operations statistics to be shared externally
  • Monitors and reports on industry and peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, earnings calls, and other relevant resources
  • Researches industry best practices and collaborates across departments gathering ESG data and information, shaping and developing our sustainability stories, and translating key sustainability messages
  • Assists with material preparation and presentations for the Board of Directors slides, investors slides, and other content to support broader Finance function initiatives
  • Responds to ad-hoc requests and inquiries from management as required
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience; MBA, CPA or CFA preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience is required; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Relevant financial experience in investment banking, equity research, investor relations, consulting, corporate finance or related fields preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
Salary Range

The salary range for this job is \$74,400 - \$119,100
