Job Purpose:

Lead and execute operational and financial audits while serving as an independent, objective, assurance and consulting auditor, committed to adding value and improving business processes at worldwide locations. This position will assist in researching and applying emerging auditing techniques, and help The Toro Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Apply a risk-based approach to establish audit scope, develop and execute operational and financial audit procedures
  • Test internal controls to support compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Schedule and conduct walk-throughs with process owners and external auditors
  • Perform reviews of internal controls and business practices at worldwide Toro locations
  • Provide clear and concise recommendations for operational and control improvements
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports of review findings to be shared with the Audit Committee
  • Research and apply data analytics and emerging audit techniques
  • Identify potential business risks and inefficiencies for consideration in the annual audit plan
  • Analyze and prepare required workpapers for external auditors
  • Prepare fraud risk assessments and assist with investigations
  • Assist in due diligence and integration processes to assess control impacts for investments or acquisitions
  • Perform other related duties and lead special projects as assigned

Job Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance management
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related degree
  • CPA or CIA preferred
  • Clear and thorough understanding of GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Experience with data analytics, data mining or data visualization tools a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external customers
  • Proven success with managing multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proactive individual with strong facilitation and interviewing skills
  • Audit experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience in SAP a plus
Other Job-Related Components:
  • Supports various business groups across the company; interacts regularly with senior leadership
  • Includes business travel to various TTC locations (up to 20%, currently reduced with COVID-19 restrictions)
