Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for speech language, hearing and swallowing disorders in a n effective and professional manner while adhering to Maryland State law and the American Speech and Hearing Association Code of Ethics
- Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care.
- Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients.
- Additional training may be required to work with special programs, procedures or specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice.

What you will need:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Maryland License to practice Speech pathology
- American Heart Association - CPR certified within probationary period
- Two years experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments.
- Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics
- Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems
