Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assessing and treating patients referred for speech language, hearing and swallowing disorders in a n effective and professional manner while adhering to Maryland State law and the American Speech and Hearing Association Code of Ethics
  • Collaborates with physicians, medical professionals, staff and families to ensure quality of care.
  • Therapists provide assessment and care for patients of all ages from neonates through the geriatric patients.
  • Additional training may be required to work with special programs, procedures or specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice.
  • Shift - Rotating
  • Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital

What you will need:

Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Maryland License to practice Speech pathology
  • American Heart Association - CPR certified within probationary period
  • Two years experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on adult neurogenic disorders, dysphagia, and communication-cognitive impairments.
  • Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics
  • Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems
