Search PTE - DevOps Team Overview:
Search processes billions of queries for millions of products on Walmart sites and apps worldwide. Whenever a user types in a query or browses through product categories on the web site, phone or the iPad, our service goes to work. We mine structured and semi-structured data from product catalogs, social web, transactions, query logs, etc. at an unprecedented scale. We work on big data problems, cutting edge relevance algorithms from information retrieval, machine learning, and ranking to deliver a high-availability, low-latency service, which directly impacts business metrics.
Being part of the Search PTE-DevOps @Walmart provides a great insight into what goes on during the life cycle of a product starting from content acquisition to being sold on Walmart.com. As a DevOps Software Engineer, you must be able to support all the systems and services to ensure high availability and reliability. Work closely with developers in supporting new applications features, and service launches. Design, build and use the various tools that would help in developing, scaling and monitoring the cutting-edge technology. You must be able to triage complex technical issues in collaboration with various teams spanning engineering and NOC, NetEng and Platform.

We are looking for an expert in continuous integration and delivery pipeline using containers. You will be playing critical role in all search application release cycle using containers and will work close with Engineering, QE and DevOps to release code to production.
Build and Release Automation using Gradle, Maven or Ant.
Docker or Kubernetes Containerization in production.
Provides and support site availability.
Troubleshoots production issues.

- Ensuring adherence to system standards for product development
- Improves, optimizes, and identifies opportunities for improved software development life cycle
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years' experience building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software.
3+ years of industry experience including in application releases.
Expertise and experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes or Mesos.
2+ year in experience in programming skills in Python or Java
Expert in Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous (CD) process and implementation. Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of standard tools like Sensu, Graphite, Rdis, Graffna and other tools.
Good understanding of Networking (VIP, NetScaler, TCP, haproxy, etc)
