What you will do:

Concept Development

• Provide Design/Test input to project proposals
  
• Competitive truck review and evaluation
  
• Participate in Marketing/field input activities
  

Product Design and Development

• Component design/evaluation
  
• Order prototype parts and build prototype vehicles
  
• Assembly design and evaluation
  
• System design and evaluation
  

Product Documentation and Release

• Product/Process Specification Documents
  
• Detail drawings/software development
  
• Engineering list structure
  
• EPO/ECN writing
  
• Test/engineering reports
  
• Product/Process Specification Documents
  
• Test plans
  

Manufacturing / Purchasing Coordination

• Integrate input into design
  
• Plant support for pilot and product Activities
  

Supervision and Management

• Supervision and Tech direction to others
  

What you will need:

• BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline with 1-2 years of experience to qualify for a Software Engineer II.
  
• A BS in Computer Science will also be considered.
  
• Work experience is not required for a Software Engineer I. The BS degree is the only requirement to qualify.
  

Skills, Experience & Abilities

• Basic specialized knowledge/skill in drawing practices, CAD, engineering analysis, design layouts.
  
• Basic knowledge/skill in vehicle/automotive technology, manufacturing technology, design/test experience, test practices and procedures.
  
• Proficient demonstration of the core competencies for this position as defined in the HYG Competency Dictionary
  
• skills with intermediate proficiency in the low-level programming languages such as C/C++/Assembly and/or basic proficiency in Modeling control systems and algorithms in tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
  
• Basic proficiency of real time control networks for controlling vehicle/automotive type machines for the global marketplace.
  
• Basic knowledge in control system design and architectures including both electronic hardware and software of embedded systems for the global marketplace
