Job Description

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Structural department in our Montebello, NY office. Individuals will support projects such as cultural buildings, office buildings, healthcare and research facilities, and various other projects..

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with the engineering fundamentals of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
  • Experience with Seismic Design is a plus
  • Capable of producing construction documents and leading management projects and project teams
  • Develop and conduct engineering calculations, diagrams, and technical reports to create workable solutions
  • Prepare project plans and specifications
  • Assist with the preparation of cost estimates
  • Perform Construction Support and inspections, as required
  • Attend Client meetings, as required
Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures, MS preferred but not required
  • 10 plus years of experience in structural engineering
  • PE in NY or NJ

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and direction given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
