Senior Project Engineer

Manage and lead the finishing initiatives for the plant with the goal of establishing a world class finishing operation. This includes driving process focused projects and standardization of the finishing processes, driving expertise within color development for new products, advanced finishing applications and technologies, and finishing equipment capability and maintenance.

Essential Functions:
* Provide functional expertise within the areas of finishing and sanding.
* Responsible for identifying opportunities, training and developing new colors associated finishing processes.
* Engage our key finishing vendor in the development or new colors and the advancement of our finishing capabilities. This would include leading the semi-annual color reviews and being involved in weekly color audits.
* Develop and own documented standard operating procedures related to material, equipment and processes throughout our finishing operations.
* Set standards and provide training relative to repair and salvage of finished material to ensure compliance within our part specification requirements on quality.
* Work with the Quality Department to standardize all relative equipment and processes related to quality and control measurement.
* Continue to develop our internal expertise related to stain mixing with standardization across finishing.
* Maintain positive working relationships with our spray equipment vendors to test equipment with the goal of improving quality and transfer efficiency.
* Work with the plant engineering and maintenance organizations to standardize and document a greatly improved TPM program for our finishing lines.
* Work with the corporate manufacturing leadership team to develop our future vision for finishing, generating ideas on next generation processes, materials and flows.
* Directly support all plant functional areas when quality, equipment or process issues arise.
* Support and actively participate in the company's lean initiative.
* Conduct all activities and behave in a method that is strictly consistent with the Company's CITE Principals and Supporting Values while striving to help the Company achieve its Vision.

Responsibilities include the direct supervision, coordination, and management of employees as they are engaged in Finishing Operations. Also responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the plants finishing operations. Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
