SUMMARY

The Senior Merchant, PC will be responsible for managing categories key to GameStop's growth. This is an omnichannel role and the individual will work closely with merchandising, operations, and marketing leaders to develop category strategies and execute them across the business. He or she will own the financial results for their categories and the overall customer experience both in-store and online. The primary goals for this role are driving key business inputs that will fuel growth, delivering top and bottom-line financial performance, and continued innovation and improvement of the customer experience.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Develop, manage, and execute strategic plans for his or her categories
• Work cross functionally with internal teams and across in-store and online channels to deliver business results
• Develop strategic insights through analysis of business data and financial metrics
• Establish strong, collaborative relationships with industry leading brands
• Lead high-level strategic negotiations that result in long-term success for both parties
• Product Lifecycle Management from product launch through promotions and end-of-life, delivering on sales and margin targets
• Identify operational inefficiencies and develop solutions that scale across Categories
• Understand the industry environment and think innovatively to deliver a best-in-class customer experience in-store and online
• Identify and execute initiatives that will deliver long-term free cash flow
• Identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end shopping experience for customers in his or her categories

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
• 7+ years of relevant business experience
• Proven track record of using data to make strategic business decisions

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• MBA or Master's degree in a related field
• In-store Retail management experience
• Ecommerce business experience
• Project planning experience, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, performance driven organization
