About this role:

Our dynamic team in Loyalty/Dealer Incentives is searching for a Software Developer. In this unique role, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on writing software or solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications. Development activities will include updating existing software and/or developing new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular problem.

Additionally, you will drive development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process. As a valued member of this team you will coach/mentor software developers and will review the software being developed. You will also work closely with architects and/or data scientists to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Loyalty Batch Integration Developer position is a highly technical position with responsibilities including:
  • Creation and use of all data integration deliverables such as: rewriting of an existing ETL process using DataStage, creating new processes to support the inbound /outbound ETL needs of GSMC Siebel CRM system.
  • Project data deliverables include gathering of data requirements, data flow diagrams, data sourcing plans, data privacy/security architecture, database architecture, data integration specifications, integration architecture design, development, status updates and implementation, etc.
  • Design a data integration workflow design (ETL) that provides for the loading/extracting of data, data integration, quality management, aggregation and distribution to various platforms using advanced technologies.
  • A key responsibility for the role will be to work with other team members such as Business Analysts, Data Architects, Data Modelers, Enterprise Architects, Platform Architects, Technical /Functional/ Integration leads, EDW, Sterling commerce, Autosys, DBA, Operations and Support, etc.
  • Consistently work in a collaborative environment to support rapid development and delivery of results and capabilities (i.e. AGILE SDLC).
  • Responsibility to complete E2E development and testing of all their assigned tasks.
  • Ensure proper integration, documentation, and communication of all development
  • For this role you will expected to have demonstrated success in software project delivery experience in leading technical efforts developing applications using a variety of tools, languages, frameworks and technologies.
  • Demonstrate mastery of multiple programming languages, tools and/or technologies
  • Integrate software with existing software/systems.
  • Possess technical writing knowledge around system design specification and user documentation of software systems and ensure that technical documentation meets GM standards.

Additional Job Description

Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years of development experience
  • 5 years experience in enterprise integration implementation
  • 3+ years of experience with IBM DataStage
  • Knowledge and use of scheduling systems such as AutoSys, CRON, etc.
  • Knowledge and use of secure file transfer processes and tools, ideally including encryption
  • Experience with Siebel Enterprise Integration Manager (EIM) or similar enterprise COTS integration patterns
  • Skilled with Structured Query Language (SQL) DDL, DML
  • Familiarity with industry-standard control processes to assure compliance and transparency
  • Full lifecycle application development using standard frameworks and coding standards/patterns
  • Coding, unit testing and debugging applications in various software languages
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality
  • Integrate software with existing systems
  • Maintain standards compliance
