Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Head of Enterprise Risk Management

The Head of Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for leading all aspects of Walmart's enterprise risk management function to include:

  • Overseeing and directing Walmart's Enterprise Risk Management Program to include defining Walmart's Risk Management strategy, establishing and maintaining the ERM methodology, framework, and forum to assess risk impacting Walmart's business; building and reinforcing a culture of risk spotting
  • Ensuring clear mitigation strategies for risks with clear assignment of risk and action owner(s) and working with those owners to ensure actions are deployed and mitigations are affecting the desired outcomes
  • Driving the flow of relevant risk information, mitigation efforts and progress towards managing risk across areas of the business interdependency; evaluating risks and escalates risk exposures to the appropriate business leaders
  • Working with the Enterprise Strategy team, business leaders, and cross-functional partners across the company to ensure risk evaluation is included in the business strategy and planning processes and providing input into Walmart's annual audit plan
  • Leading the Enterprise Risk Management team in monitoring and maintaining a set of risk KPls with appropriate reporting to executive leaders
  • Acting as a liaison in support of reporting to Walmart's BOD and Audit Committee
  • Drives the collaboration across functional specific risk teams (e.g., Global Compliance, Internal Audit) to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to risk identification, mitigation and reporting


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field; +10 years progressive experience in risk management, compliance or related field

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in business or JD; +4 years' experience in a large, complex, matrixed organization
