Marketing and Communication exists to raise awareness of ZS Associates, brand the firm, create and distribute thought leadership content and support the business development process with communications and events support.

We seek a B2B rockstar with 5+ years of marketing experience to join our Marketing and Communications team in Evanston, Illinois. The Senior Alliance Marketing Associate will work closely with the Alliance Marketing Manager to continue to grow the ZS alliance marketing function, driving mindshare and market share across key technology alliance partners.

The Senior Alliance Marketing Associate works with various stakeholders across the ZS alliance team, marketing & communications team, client service teams and external alliance partners to execute innovative and strategic programs that increase awareness, generate leads, strengthen customer and partner relationships, and build pipeline and sales opportunities. This role requires a strong communicator with an understanding of marketing fundamentals for strategic planning, coupled with strong project management and execution skills for tactical responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Alliance Marketing Manager and external alliance partners to execute high-quality marketing activities that drive awareness, create demand, and increase market share
  • Develop marketing collateral, promotional content and sales enablement content such as email copy, brochures, web copy, presentations and sales primers. Own and drive the content development and production/approval process
  • Actively seek and create joint customer success stories to showcase best practices and demonstrate strong partner relationships
  • Help manage partner engagement activities (e.g. partner events, webinars, communications, and briefings)
  • Develop and foster relationships with partners to fully maximize the potential of go-to-market value
  • Review, analyze and interpret data to evaluate the impact of marketing activities (at the strategy and campaign level)
  • Act as a subject matter advisor to the business to influence how the practice engages the marketplace to drive relevance, distinctiveness and growth
  • Contribute to the creation of campaign plans and the development of assets, personas and customer journeys for activation across the full marketing funnel
  • Possess expertise in modern marketing and sales capabilities including automation principles and content marketing, ideally in a B2B or services context
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to support the marketing strategy
Qualifications:
  • BA or BS required
  • 5+ years of B2B professional services marketing experience in a functional, industry or product role; partner marketing experience a plus
  • Experience working in entrepreneurial-driven, matrixed organizations
  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects that drive consistent and measurable results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience translating value propositions into creative and unique sales materials, including brochures, web copy, thought leadership, presentations and sales primers
  • The ability to translate complicated concepts into interesting and digestible messages for an external audience
  • Ability to think outside-of-the-box and come up with creative solutions
  • Experience working on a diverse and distributed marketing team - global is a plus
  • Flexibility to work at early morning hours, as needed, think ahead and leverage time with global colleagues effectively so that individual work achieves maximum impact
  • Must be a self-starter that is able to learn quickly and independently

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
