Basic Job Functions:
This role consists of maintaining accurate documentation of all inbound/outbound vehicle traffic. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all visitors, carriers, etc. understand Nucor Steel Sedalia's safety expectations. This role must also correctly identify inbound scrap commodities and direct drivers to various loading/unloading areas. Must be willingto work a flexible schedule, swing shift, including possible scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled.This role will be expected to be able to communicate clearly and concisely to the shipping team, scrap coordinator, and sales team. Completing a variety of other tasks related to the successful operation of the material handling department will be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High Scholl Diploma/GED
- Computer experience - Microsoft Office Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of logistics:
- Prior shipping/logistics/receiving experience
- Familiarity with shipping programs
- Strong computer experience - proficient in Microsoft office, including Excel
