The Business Insurance Sales Producer identifies new opportunities in middle-market business accounts, building great relationships with business owners and executives at multiple levels of the client organization through consultative selling strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Identifies, qualifies and sells new client engagements with target organizations to achieve/exceed annual goals
  • Builds effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers within the target organizations
  • Uses a highly consultative approach to setup sales meetings and conduct face to face meetings with prospects
  • Organizes and executes a multi-faceted sales plan to effectively make direct contact with prospects
  • Participates in professional organizations and informal networks to develop, build & sustain pipelines/prospects
  • Understands the short and long-term needs and challenges of prospects and how the MMA value proposition
  • and industry best practices can assist in solving their problems, improve their competitive position and movetheir business forward
  • Works closely with a team of consultants and analysts to collaboratively develop solutions that will moveprospects through the sales process and win the sale
  • Proficient in/champion of the tools and processes, sales effectiveness techniques and best practices of MMA

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Insurance or Communications or equivalent combination of education andexperience with 2+ years relevant sales experience and/or Commercial P&C or Benefits Industry experiencerequired. Successful business-to-business sales experience (professional services and/or Employee Benefitspreferred) including experience selling to executive/senior level preferred.
  • Life and Health/Property & Casualty License required (or ability to obtain within 90days of employment) required
  • CISR and/or CIC designation preferred
  • Driver's License and proper insurance required
  • Must be self-starter and demonstrate resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn, understand & champion sales process and value proposition
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage in client-focused critical thinking
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong delegation and project management skills
