PROJECT MANAGER

The Select Groups' utility client is seeking Regional Project Manager to bring on to their team supporting the APCO region. This position will sit remote but needs to be local to Ohio, West Virgina or Kentucky. This Project Manager will manage many new construction or installation projects for fiber, radio, and microwave, router, switch, security and other types infrastructure.

PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-5 years Project Manager experience
  • Strong project experience from end to end
  • Meaning the budget, scope, timeline, and deliverables
  • Managing many projects simultaneously
  • Budget size for projects will be from $500 - $1.5million for individual and shared projects
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• Self starter, go getter attitude.
• Telecom Industry experience

• Excel & Data Proficiency
• Bachelor's Degree
• PMP Certification
• ServiceNow, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project or Prima Vera 6

• Resourcing is one of the main job responsibilities. Resourcing will be the component of the implementation type of projects
  • Implementation projects will originate the centralized PMO, then the RPM will be resourcing the operations of the project aka field techs, materials, etc.
• Communicates with stakeholders to ensure the field resources are available for the project.
• Ensures field project close procedures are completed (red lines, asset records, RFS date, field tasks closed). After confirmation, all project completion, PC submits close work order task
• Facilitates (while working with the Field Managers) the consolidation and prioritization of field initiated blanket projects
• Accountable for managing all aspects of project (i.e. Capital Blank projects) to successful completion including cost, schedule, scope, and risks; when RPM is assigned as overall Project Manager, the RPM will be the project manager
• Ensures project asset/inventory processes, procedures and controls are in place and understood by project team members i.e. Logistics Coordinator and Material Handler roles
• Serves as the business unit partner contact for field operations
• Ensures field resources (paperwork, create/validate scheduled tasks for field, materials, requirements, resources, both internal and contractor) are secured to meet project deadline
• Creates appropriate field tasks with dates that align with overall project schedules as needed when the PC may have missed assigning a task. Responsible for the overall financial management of blanket projects
• Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively and efficiently, show capable of having organizational and planning skills, as well as having an aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail and ability to achieve goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work and collaborate well with others.
• Ability to multitask and be self-directed & meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to analyze financial information.
• Immediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to develop complex spreadsheets. In addition familiar with ServiceNow and Smartsheet.
• Some travel, including overnight, may be required depending on our COVID-19.
• Updating ServiceNow & Smartsheet data elements - resource, task and documentation fields
• Requesting new and closing tasks
• Quarterly look-ahead reports and manual/automated technician forecasting
• Creating Data available for reporting: In-Service & Financial Reports, Schedules, Assessing stale projects.
• Financial reporting - Running Actuals vs Budgeted
• Ensures Capital budget targets are met. O&M budgets are managed by the Field Managers
• Procures test equipment needed for a project
• Proficient in Microsoft office, be very organized, several years of experience in project management.
