Job Summary

*\tProvide leadership, vision, and management to the assigned regional engineering team and act as strategic business member of the leadership team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

*\tBuild and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for any and all engineering inquires
*\tAssist in establishing departmental goals, objectives an operating procedures
*\tDevelop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculations and acoustical modeling
*\tReview pre-construction design and documentation
*\tAssist with technical design, pricing and identify any logistical challenges
*\tCustomer liaison for engineering inquires
*\tMeet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products
*\tPost sales project consultation
*\tReview project designs created by internal and external resources
*\tReview hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirements
*\tIdentify special requirements for project, including but not limited to: test equipment, specialized tools, rigging support
*\tProvide feedback to corporate and development management on process improvement opportunities and facilitate process improvement.
*\t Test audio DSP or video processing systems software required for system functionality
*\tMonitor and ensure labor expenditures do not exceed department budget
*\tManage internal activities that support client training
*\tManage or facilitate field testing of integrated systems and training client on use
*\tRemain abreast of A/V advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization Translate customer requirements into functional system designs
*\tCreate and maintain engineering related documentation in accordance with company guidelines
*\tMaintain scheduling and resources for the department
*\tTravel to various job sites required

Skills and Abilities
*\tProven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results oriented approach
*\tDemonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
*\tProven ability to mentor, educate, and develop members of the team
*\tStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
*\tUnderstanding of engineering aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation preferred
*\tAbility to motivate and effectively lead large project teams comprised of technical, administrative, and engineering personnel toward a common goal
*\tUnderstanding of construction project management applied to audiovisual projects
*\tProficient with test and calibration equipment preferred
*\tAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
*\tMust have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally
*\tDemonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills

Education and/or Experience

*\tMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. B.S, degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred
*\tAt least 12 years of A/V experience with 4 years of Engineering Management experience preferred
*\tCapability of managing multiple million dollar budget Integration projects simultaneously is a plus
*\tAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints preferred
*\tExperience operating in a complex matrix business environment is desirable
*\tExcellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Project
*\tValid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards

Work Hours
