The Quality Manager will be actively involved in all site-level aspects of managing the Quality System and improvement plans with the aim to meet or exceed quality targets.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Translate the Materion and AMG strategies into site-level initiatives and plans to continuously improve product quality, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce costs
  • Develop and strengthen leaders within the Quality organization
  • Coordinate and manage customer audits
  • Manage program to certify product quality conformance to specifications and standards
  • Maintain and promote the use of the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality systems, or any other customer required certifications, and execute responsibilities as required by those systems as defined in the respective quality manual(s).
  • Drive continuous improvement processes utilizing Six Sigma & Lean techniques
  • Develop, report, and maintain quality-related goals with clearly defined action plans to improve key metrics
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field (metallurgy, material science, chemistry or chemical engineering).
  • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing and quality control/quality systems experience showing career progression in a manufacturing environment with focus in continuous improvement
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience
  • Quality theory knowledge equivalent to six sigma black belt certification (or similar practical experience).
  • Preferred experience includes auditing, quality theory, project management, and materials science.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
