Job Description

Shearman & Sterling is seeking a talented Counsel to join the Firm's elite international Project Development & Finance practice group in the New York, Houston, or Washington, D.C. offices. The Project Development & Finance practice group focuses on cutting edge project finance and development, acquisitions and dispositions, and financing of assets across the breadth of sectors, including energy (including power, renewables, energy transition and sustainable development), infrastructure (including transportation, transmission and water), natural resources (including mining and metals and oil and gas) and petrochemicals and other manufacturing industries.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 full years' experience representing a broad client base including private equity sponsors, investors, debtors, creditors, energy companies and tax equity investors with experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating project contracts (including O&M agreements, EPC contracts, management agreements and offtake contracts) purchase and sale agreements and tax equity financing agreements as well as general corporate related experience.

Shearman & Sterling's compensation is aligned with the standard market-rate salary scale. The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $425,000 to $550,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as, education, training, other responsibilities. The annual salary range listed is just one component of Sherman & Sterling's total compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
